We still need more help at Camp Don Lee cleaning up from Hurricane Irene!
This Saturday, September 10, we would love to have any and all volunteers to help us do more clean up!
The main projects we need help with are:
- Log splitting
- Chain saw work cutting up downed trees
- Moving debris from around camp to burn piles on the beach
- Building picnic tables
- Building benches for our fire circles
- Cleaning debris out of flying scots
- Moving firewood
- Cleaning up the sail loft
- Raking the Challenge Course and around Lake Pu
If you can come and have any of the following supplies that would be awesome! We need:
- Rakes
- Gloves
- Log Splitters
- Trailers to move debris on
- Wheel barrows
- Tractors
- Builders of Picnic Tables and benches
- BUG SPRAY
If you would like to bring your own food for meals, that would be great. If you would like to eat at camp, meals are $8.50, and we just need to know you’re coming so we can make sure we have enough food (email John Farmer at john@donleecenter.org). We do have power again!
Please let us know if you can come and help us!
Also, if you cannot make this date, but still want to help, please contact John Farmer (john@donleecenter.org or 252-249-1106) and tell US when you’d like to come down and help! We know that weekends can be hard, so if a different day or weekend works for you, your family, your Bible study, or your church, please let us know! We’d love to have you down!
