St. James United Methodist Church Methodist Men's group of Greenville, North Carolina has sponsored Cabin 7 at Camp Don Lee for the past 20 years. Mitchell White (now deceased) took the lead initially and made sure that there has always been a representative work group attending each Don Lee Work Day to provide needed repairs to our cabin. A plaque is now proudly displayed in the cabin.

Numerous projects over the years have included painting (inside, outside, and bunks), roofing, screening, landscaping, removing mildew, replacing windows, replacing the emergency exits, repairing doors and replacing rotten wood and sealing the concrete floors. The UM Men’s group has also helped repair the pier, the pool walkway, provide electrical work, and provide work groups for the various other cabins and structures.

There is much work still to be done, and St. James United Methodist Men remain prepared to provide support. As the older cabins are replaced, St James United Methodist Church is considering sponsoring a new cabin at Don Lee. This includes partial funding and assistance with construction. Don Lee Work camp is truly a labor of love for many of the men who have helped over the years.
