"A Day Apart for Older Adults of the Burlington District" is continuing into a second year at Chestnut Ridge. It was begun out of a coordinated undertaking by The Burlington District, the North Carolina Conference Committee on Older Adults and NC United Methodist Camp & Retreat Ministries.

This endeavor received funding from The Older Adult Commission of the General Board of Discipleship in 2006 and from the rural division of Duke Endowment, which is continuing its funding.
