Dear God…
I am 14 years old.  I am unsure of myself.  I don’t exactly know where I fit in.  I’ve been to church all my life but I have no clue who you are.  I just finished 2 weeks at Camp Don Lee.  I had so much fun, and I met the coolest people.

The Sailing Master said I was a really good sailor, and I felt like I was on top of the world!  Remember that vespers on the end of the pier?  It was the first time I have ever felt any emotion during a worship service.  It was awesome!

Dear God…
I am 18 years old.  I just finished High School, and I’ll be starting college in a few weeks.  I was an LIT this summer, and it was a really hard month but I made it!  The group I was assigned to got caught in a really big storm, and this one camper floated away from his overturned boat.  I helped him get back.  I knew you were with us that day.  I can’t wait to be on staff.   There was this one guy in our group, and all he talked about was partying.  I think our LIT coordinator helped him see that drugs are a waste.  He even led vespers one night.  Maybe camp has made a difference in his life.

Dear God…
I am 21 years old.  I had a great summer working on staff.  It’s unbelievable some of the homes these kids come from.  I tried to show them there is hope and goodness in the world, and it comes through you.  Over the past couple of years, camp has taught me to be tolerant of others as there are people from all walks of life working there.  I have become more comfortable with myself as a result.

Dear God…
I am 25 years old.  I thought my camp days were over but something keeps drawing me back.  Remember that girl I met while I was on staff?  Well, we are getting married!  I proposed to her on the end of the pier because that’s where I feel closest to you.

Dear God…
I am 30 years old.  I can’t get camp out of my system!  We just had a baby, and I can’t wait to take him to family camp.  Several of my friends take their families there too.  I thank you for John Farmer.  He is still working at camp.  He is a great sounding board, and gives the best advice.

Dear God…
I am 42 years old.  Camp is just as important to me as ever.  I wouldn’t miss Family Camp for the world!  I’ve seen my friends’ kids learn to walk, swim, sail and ride their bikes at camp.  I see that they are beginning to learn more about you at vespers.  My son is now a tweeker.  Life is coming full circle, and Camp Don Lee seems to be the hub.  Thank you so much for letting me be a part of that wonderful place.
