Volunteerism is alive and well at all of your NC United Methodist Camp & Retreat Centers. Services from committed advocates of this camping ministry can be seen repairing rooftops, leading vespers and nursing a camper’s abrasion from a slippery canoe. Another area of volunteer support can be found in each camp’s Local Committee.

Our Conference Camp & Retreat Centers have a long history of providing financial assistance (camperships) to families that are not otherwise able to send their children to summer camp. In 1972, the Myra Morris Campership Fund was established by persons in the Conference to provide financial assistance to families who could not afford to send their children to one of our Conference camps.

There are any number of things that our campers may find that they would like to have with them while attending their favorite place in the world, camp; pleasant days full of sunshine and cool evenings spent in the company of friends come quickly to mind.
